A key part of ReliaTech’s program is refurbishing computers. These machines, which are put through a rigorous 18-step process, are then distributed to low-income individual, schoolchildren, churches, schools, senior centers and other institutions in our community for re-use. We rely on local individuals and companies to help us with this program by donating their out-of-service computers and computer-related equipment.
ReliaTech is an approved collector of electronic waste under the SB20 regulations of the State of California. That means we handle any e-waste left with us properly according to the tae’s laws and regulations. We accept any sort of e-waste. What can be reused is refurbished or repaired and placed back in service. The rest is recycled by state-approved recyclers.

There are a lot of good reasons to donate your out-of service computers and equipment to ReliaTech.

ReliaTech is happy to accept the following types of equipment for refurbishing or recycling:
- Computers systems, PC or Apple Macintosh

- Telephones and telephone systems

- External disk drives, CD-ROMs, or DVD drives
- Modems
- Networking equipment
- Keyboard, mice and other peripherals
- Digital cameras

We make a positive impact in our community by providing great computers at remarkably low cost. ReliaTech is the nonprofit social enterprise of The Stride Center – our efforts directly help the communities where we work.
