I made more than a dozen telephone calls and received many different answers to my questions. "On October 8, 2007 there was not any data being transferred between my home computer and my video monitor.
"I reached for the yellow pages [and found] ReliaTech.
"I spoke with Patrick Cheung on the telephone. I arrived at the shop some time around 5 pm. As Mr. Cheung was troubleshooting my Gateway computer, he took time to explain the diagnostic procedures to me at a level that I could understand.
"Unfortunately my computer was beyond repair, as the result of a power surge at my home.
"Mr. Cheung is a great listener and because of his knowledge of the old disk operating system, he was able to match me up with a refurbished computer system that was “tailored” to my own computer skills as well as my daily use and personal everyday use of a home computer.
